Complete Dedication To Criminal Law
I knew when I was in law school that I wanted to focus my practice on criminal law. During that time, I worked as a law clerk in a public defender’s office and knew that criminal defense is what I wanted to do with my career.
Over a decade later, I am still practicing criminal defense and representing adults and juveniles in Minnesota criminal cases and expungements. I am criminal defense attorney Doug Carlson, and I can help you get through this difficult time. You can be sure that I understand how much is at stake for you, and you can count on me to dedicate myself to your case.
Many of my clients say that I am very professional and a good listener, and that I made them feel important and like their case was a priority. If we work together, I will bring that same level of client service to your criminal concern. I believe that negotiation is the best way to start a case and will work hard to find a resolution out of court, but be assured that I am a skilled trial lawyer who will take your case to trial if negotiations are not productive.
I am active in the community and work part time with the St. Cloud Public Defender’s Office and do volunteer work for the Stearns County Veterans Court. I also served on the Windom Park Citizens in Action Board of Director’s from 2014 to present. I was a faculty member of the Sentencing Advocacy Institute from 2010 to 2011.
